About Us

Peter Brown has over 40 years experience in the horticulture and sports turf industries. Peter holds certificates in Horticulture and Greenkeeping. He also holds a Diploma of Teaching (Technical) and a Masters Degree in Agriculture (Turf Management).

Peter has extensive experience in all aspects of the maintenance and construction of turf surfaces, particularly in the bowls and golf industries as well as in teaching turf related subjects at the Ryde College of TAFE in Sydney.

In recent times, Peter held the position of Course Superintendent at The Lakes Golf Club in Sydney and during a 14 year period, he presided over the re-construction of all the greens and the majority of the tees on the course as well as preparing for 9 championship golf tournaments including the 1993 Australian Open. In 2005 Peter was awarded the Australian Golf Course Superintendents Associations' Distinguished Service Award for his contribution to the turf management industry.

Peter is now offering consulting services to the sports turf industry through his company 'Pete Brown and Associates', and is working in association with B.E.Koppman Pty Ltd in golf course construction projects.
